Thunderstorms for much of the South bring severe weather and flash flooding threat, which expands greatly on Thursday, while three winter storm fronts deliver snow, freezing rain, and bring winter weather warnings.
Three separate winter storm fronts will roll across parts of the West and Midwest on Wednesday.
The first front will affect the northwest and northern Rockies, bringing snow to parts of Nevada, northern Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana, as well as a wintry mix to portions of Oregon, Washington and Northern California. Heavy snow is possible and some portions of Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
The second front will affect parts of the southern Rockies, Southwest, and southern Midwest bringing snow to portions of southern Utah, Colorado and northern New Mexico, with heavy snow over central areas of the state. The states will also see a wintry mix, which expands into parts of Arizona and the south-central Midwest to include portions of the Texas Panhandle Plains, the Oklahoma Panhandle and Kansas.
The third storm front will bring winter weather and freezing rain to the upper Midwest including portions of South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and northern Michigan. Freezing rain is forecast over the northern areas of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan where an advisory has been issued.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued the following winter-related weather alerts for Wednesday:

Winter weather advisory: northwest and southeast Washington; northwest and northeast Oregon; southeast and northern Arizona; northern and central New Mexico; northwestern Texas; western Oklahoma; western, northeastern and southeastern Colorado; eastern Utah; northeast Minnesota; northern Wisconsin; northern Michigan.
Thunderstorms will stretch from the southern portion of the Midwest, spanning east across the southern tier of the nation into the southeast, as well as extending northward to include portions of the Midwest, Mid-South and Ohio Valley on Wednesday, which could bring flash flooding to parts of the South.
The National Weather Service has issued a warning over potential severe thunderstorms affecting eastern/north-eastern Texas, southeastern Oklahoma, southern Arkansas and Northwestern Louisiana.

A flash flood watch has been issued by The National Weather Service for parts of the South on Wednesday, including: southeastern Louisiana, southern and central Mississippi, southwestern Alabama and the Western Florida Panhandle.
